Welcome to the Knox Lions (Superules) Football Club. Aussie Rules Football for the over 35's. We are in Division 3 of the Victorian Metro Masters Football League with an over 40's Masterules team in the Masters Division 2/3.

2010 News & Events

The 2010 Season is Under Way
Happy New Year to everyone. Hope your body is recovering ready for the season ahead.
Preseason recommences Wednesday 27th January 6.00pm at Fairpark Reserve. Last training session of 2009 was well attended and don't forget  - ALL recruits welcome

The next Committee meeting is scheduled for 20/1 or 27/1 so put that in your diary.

The New Lions Cage Forum
Yes - hit the menu button on the left and you go direct to the new Knox Lions Website Forum. Post your own topic or reply with your comments. Keep it clean and I wont have to ban you. But get in there and add your 5 cents worth.

Boundary and Goal Umpires
We are looking for PAID boundary and goal umpires for this season. Talk to Mark (mark@planetech.com.au) on the committee for details.

Money Money Money
President P.J. reiterated the clubs position on fees this year, committee advises will be $160 if paid in full by end February or $180 if paid by second game, the club will be providing  a Knox Lions polo shirt this season on payment of fees. Any casual or fill in players fees this year will be $20 per game. All players will be required to be financial for selection eligibility

New recruits welcome dont be shy  - New Players (Always) Wanted!
Wanted! All players 35 and over to play for Knox Lions. It does not matter how long since it has been since you have last played, 10, 15 or 20 years, So if you want to have a kick and a bit fun, come on down. We play in the Vic Metro Superules League. Insurance

The Superules league know the chances of one of you old blokes hurting yourself is pretty high (I'm sure your wife/girlfriend has reminded you of that already) and therefore require all player to fill in a Membership Consent form. Motty has these forms and we need every player to fill one in. Bottom line is that you play at your own risk recognising your old bodies aren't what they used to be. Please see Motty to get a form if you haven't already.

Volunteers - We Need You !
Thanks to everybody who assisted last weekend at home , the games were well supported on the volunteer side by everybody at the club.
